[ dahlia starts tugging on taryn’s wrist, trying to drag her with full intention of just wandering wherever. ] I miss Skylar! I haven't seen her in soooooooo long. It must have been at least 100 whole seconds ... maybe more! We need to find her, Taryn!
[ taryn is squinting at her clipboard, marking something before she lets Dahlia drag her off. ] Skylar has been absent for... too long. She never goes this long without checking in. Or yelling at you. We'll need to do something to get her attention.
[ as their chatter tapers off all you hear for the next couple of minutes is the peaceful sound of white noise… until a loud explosion nearly blows out not only the speakers of your phone, but also the drums of your ears. a severe quake follows, the entirety of shadowpeaks shaking and making the already questionable integrity of its structures worse. when you think the worst of it has passed you hear another, much stranger sound… an electrical snap followed by a deafening crack as something massive breaks - a portion of the invisible wall. ]
